Mostly Music Soundscape Series: Rameka Tamaki

This is a GA ticket to Rameka Tamaki, Saturday 27 September 2025, 8pm (doors 7:30pm) at The Bond Store, 21 Birmingham Street, Paraparaumu.

About Rameka Tamaki

People can expect a level of artistry and mastery over the guitar. Rameka will be playing a selection of Classical Guitar pieces which include places like Spain, Japan, South America, and also his own compositions. These will range from Baroque, to Romantic, and Modern, with elements of different genres that encompass different cultures and time periods from around the world.

Rameka Tamaki (Tūhoe, Maniapoto, Samoan, Tongan, Irish) is a Classical Guitarist from Aotearoa, New Zealand who has performed in festivals and shows around the world. With a passion for the guitar and Māori culture he completed his Bachelor of Music with First Class Honours at The New Zealand School of Music, Victoria University. His performances include ASIA Topa, The New Zealand Opera Company, Performance Space at Carriageworks Sydney, the Matariki Ahi Kā Festival, Gardens Magic, and Los Angeles for Kapa Haka.

About the Mostly Music Soundscape Series

A curated series of intimate live music experiences showcasing the depth, texture and emotion of sound. Each performance invites you to immerse yourself in a new soundscape, informed by genre, sonic craft, and music as an art form. Designed for music lovers who want more than a background soundtrack, this series celebrates live performance with a diverse range of acclaimed performers.

  • Saturday 21 June — Nick Granville Trio

  • Saturday 26 July — Seth Boy Trio

  • Saturday 30 August — Michelle Velvin Harpist

  • Saturday 20 September — The Weather Machine

  • Saturday 27 September — Rameka Tamaki

  • Saturday 25 October — Danica Bryant

Doors 7:30pm, with events starting at 8pm. Each event will be 60—90 minutes in two sets.

These events will take place inside at The Bond Store, Paraparaumu and are seated with general admission.

The Bond Store is located at 21 Birmingham Street, Paraparaumu. It operates as The Tasting Room which serves food and beverages.
