Mostly Music started, as a lot of great projects do, as a self-funded one; fuelled by a passion for music, a love for the local music scene, and a commitment to do something to help increase the perceived value of music, musicians and the venues that host us.
If you’re a fan of The Arts, or an artist yourself, you’ll be well aware that the entire industry is chronically underfunded, which has a detrimental effect to the bottom line for arts organisations and individuals alike. The only way for us to apply for some funding to help us support this important work, is by collecting tangible evidence - your feedback - to paint the picture.
We have loads of anecdotal evidence that the platform we’ve created is helping musicians and music-lovers all around Kāpiti, and now we hope to prove it. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your time and honesty.
