This is Mostly Musicians - a hub for local musical artists.

We have created this space for anyone who shares our vision for a more connected music community in Kāpiti. Whether you’re a local, or you visit and play on the coast regularly, thank you for joining us and showing that you believe in this kaupapa. We don’t pretend to have all the answers, and we will be trying things as we go along (your feedback is always welcome) but we care about supporting local music. We have been asked several times for recommendations of local available artists, so our first goal was to establish a directory of musical ensembles / bands for hire / solo performers… any musical artists who are available to play at private or public functions. This is now live and you can view it / join it here. What’s next? We’re not sure yet but we’re thinking!

If you’re still reading, allow us to take a moment to share some statistics with you. Mostly Music launched in November 2022, and as at February 2024, there have been 6.5k visitors to the website, 303 sign-ups to the weekly Gig Guide database, and hundreds of gigs listed on the Event Calendar. This is amazingly reassuring, don’t you think? There is clearly an eager, musically-minded audience in Kāpiti and a coast-load of talented musos ready to perform. Mostly Music is here to join the dots. All the dots. No strings attached. Just a true passion for sharing all things music related in this beautiful part of the world. Help us to spread the world and share the aroha by telling your friends, engaging with our social media channels, listing your local (public) gigs with us, and being proud to be part of the Kāpiti music community. You rock. See you at a gig sometime!
