Ramon Oza
ARTIST PROFILE
Kāpiti musician Ramon Oza has been playing guitar since he was nine years old and if you’re a Paraparaumu Beach Market regular, you’ll have probably seen him play with Black Eyed Susie from time to time.
Ramon has a rich musical history, including being a salaried player of a resident jazz band in an international hotel, touring with the Drifters all round NZ, plus playing in bands in India, UK, Australia & NZ.
Ramon’s blend of music is very original – he plays and sings just about anything with his own flair including Pop, Rock, Jazz, Latin, Celtic, Funk, Blues and Reggae.
When he is not performing, he works on completing and recording the compositions that he has created over the years. He is also a talented stage and studio audio-engineer. Ramon has had his own recording studio since first coming to New Zealand in 1987 and released his debut album in November 2024, titled ‘Your World Or Mine’.
