Saturday Sounds

Pro tip: don’t be the person who doesn’t read the fine print.

In partnership with The Bond Store, Mostly Music is proud to present Saturday Sounds — a live music series at this epic local distillery and venue, 21 Birmingham Street, Paraparaumu.

Together with The Bond Store team, we’ve worked hard to create an environment where musicians are celebrated, and audiences are encouraged to sit back, listen, and enjoy the hospitality on offer.

We believe wholeheartedly in the art of live music, and are endlessly appreciative of the venues and spaces that open their doors to host such events.

Bookings via the Saturday Sounds Google Calendar are by invitation only, so if you’re reading this but you haven’t already been in touch with us at Mostly Music, you might wanna start there.

If you’ve been invited to read this page, and book in a gig, welcome musical friends! Please go ahead and check out the calendar, and book yourself a slot. (Please read the T&Cs below so you know what to expect.)

Terms & Conditions — here’s what you need to know

Saturday Sounds is designed for solo and duo performers looking to share their music in an intimate, welcoming setting. For emerging artists, this is a paid platform for you to build your audience and gain live experience. For established artists, this is a community-driven showcase with a base fee, not a full-scale gig. If you’d like to do a ticketed event instead, send us an email to explore what that looks like.

Here’s how it works:

  • Fee + Bar Tab: Musicians receive a fixed performance fee of $200 plus a $30 tab to spend at The Bond Store

  • Event Time: Saturdays from 2—4pm

  • Stage: The Bond Store has indoor and outdoor stages which means the show can go on, whatever the weather

  • Gear: Musicians must bring their own instruments and gear. Power is available at both stages

  • Promotion: Mostly Music will create listings and graphics. Artists are expected to share these with their own networks — promotion is to be a shared effort. Information will be shared with you in advance of your gig so you can help promote.

  • Professional Standards: Artists are expected to arrive on time, perform within the agreed slot, and engage respectfully with the venue, staff, and audience. There is zero tolerance for unprofessional behaviour. Mostly Music and The Bond Store reserves the right to cancel your gig or not send you a Christmas card if you decide not to be a decent human. Or in the words of The Bond Store: don’t be a dick. Easy!
