Music at The Bond Store

In partnership with The Bond Store, Mostly Music is proud to host regular live music events at this epic local distillery and venue, 21 Birmingham Street, Paraparaumu.

Together with The Bond Store team, we’ve worked hard to create an environment where musicians are celebrated, and audiences are encouraged to sit back, listen, and enjoy the hospitality on offer.

We believe wholeheartedly in the art of live music, and are endlessly appreciative of the venues and spaces that open their doors to host such events.

Regular seasons include Saturday Sounds and the Soundscape Series. But for bands or performers looking for a bigger format (evening slot, indoor or outdoor setup, higher production, larger crowd), there are two clear pathways that we can work with you to achieve. Scroll down to read more.

Alternative Gig Options

For bands and performers looking to lead their own one-off gigs at The Bond Store, here are the two options we present in partnership.

Option 1: DIY (Band-led)

  • Financials: Band takes full responsibility and reward.

  • Venue hire: $0 — The Bond Store provides the space at no charge.

  • Income: Band keeps 100% of ticket sales.

  • Gear: Band supplies all their own gear.

  • Promo: Mostly Music can offer optional promo support packages at cost.

  • The Bond Store’s support: They run the bar and keep bar sales (this is how they cover their costs).

This is best if you want to run your own show with full control.

Option 2: Mostly Music as Promoter (Shared Model)

If you’d like Mostly Music to take the lead as event promoter, we handle ticketing, promo, and logistics, while you focus on the music.

  • Ticketing: Managed through Mostly Music (with a mutually agreed ticketing platform).

  • Income Split: 70% to the band / 30% to Mostly Music (after ticketing fees).

  • Costs: Any additional agreed costs (e.g. poster printing, sound hire) are covered first from sales.

  • Gear: Band still provides their own gear. Mostly Music can support if necessary with some (not all) items.

  • The Bond Store’s support: Venue provided at no charge; they run the bar and keep bar sales.

This is a partnership model — great if you want professional promo and admin support, with clear, transparent accounting (Mostly Music issues reports and pays out your 70% after the show).

Just so we’re clear…

  • Mostly Music isn’t in this to profit from artists. Our role is to support live music, cover costs, and help make gigs happen.

  • The Bond Store doesn’t take a cut of tickets. Their contribution is providing the space for free and benefitting from bar sales while providing the infrastructure and staff.

  • You get to choose the model that best suits your gig.
